Technical information about website accessibility
Corporate.visitskane.com is partially compliant with the law on accessibility of digital public services, due to the issues described below.
Non-compliance with legal requirements
- Corporate.visitskane.com sometimes uses non-standardised (beta versions) of HTML and CSS to achieve desired and equivalent layout and functionality regardless of browser used. This means the websites do not achieve complete validation according to W3C standards.
- The external, embedded statistics tool for guest nights lacks basic accessibility adaptation, meaning the content often cannot be read by screen readers or used without a mouse.
- PDF documents are partially not accessibility-adapted.
Disproportionate burden
Visit Skåne AB claims exemption for disproportionate burden under Section 12 of the law on accessibility of digital public services for the following content:
- The embedded statistics tool contains a large amount of information that cannot easily be transcribed or otherwise adapted for accessibility. Visit Skåne AB continuously investigates possibilities to find solutions for better accessibility.
- Visit Skåne AB currently lacks resources to make published documents accessible. The company developed an action plan in 2021 and will address these issues gradually.
