Why do we process your personal data?
There can be different legal grounds for Visit Skåne AB to process your personal data. When it is necessary to perform a task of public interest, when it is part of our official authority, or when we need to fulfil a legal obligation.

IT suppliers
To technically process your personal data, it will be transferred to IT suppliers providing our platforms. In these cases, we have set requirements for suppliers to ensure they handle the data in a good and secure manner.
Third countries
If your personal data is processed outside the EU/EEA area (third country), we will inform you. Such processing will be in accordance with the protective rules in data protection legislation.
External operators
Visit Skåne AB is not responsible for external actors' own processing of personal data. However, we can set requirements on how these organizations conduct their activities when acting on behalf of Visit Skåne AB. External actors can include (for example) the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth.
How long do we store your personal data?
We store your personal data as long as there is a purpose for its processing. When this purpose no longer exists, for example, if a contract is no longer valid or the matter is closed, your personal data will be handled according to the legal rules governing archiving. These rules are supported by the Archives Act (1990:782) and Region Skåne's regulations for archive and information management, and govern how and to what extent we may delete or retain information.
What are your rights?
When your personal data is processed by us, you have certain rights. Special rules for handling public documents may affect these rights in different ways. Visit Skåne AB will receive your application to exercise your rights and take a position on your request based on data protection legislation and other laws.
Access and register extract
You have the right to obtain free information about whether Visit Skåne AB processes personal data about you. You also have the right to receive information about how your personal data is processed. You have the right to receive a copy of the personal data that Region Skåne processes about you, known as a register extract.
Correcting information
You have the right to have incorrect personal data corrected or incomplete personal data completed.
Deleting information
In some cases, you have the right to have personal data deleted. This is also called the "right to be forgotten". In these cases, Visit Skåne AB shall delete the information without undue delay.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how your personal data has been handled or feel that your information has been incorrectly managed, you have the option to file a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.
